Computational Human Behavior Lab

We envision a world where machines can understand human behavior and assist, in all areas of human life, from medical care to general well being, from efficient learning and development of individuals, to improvement of social interactions and on to entertainment and quality of life.

The lab focuses on understanding human behavior using Computer Vision and Machine Learning tools. Within the lab we develop and implement Computer Vision and Machine Learning algorithms and technologies that are non-invasive, inexpensive and portable allowing flexibility in the environments in which we capture human subjects. Acquisition is multi-modal and forms big data sets that are analyzed using ML tools. The approach we have developed is being used in numerous studies involving human behavior in various forms including body motion, hand motion, facial expressions, eye motion and more.

Our collaborators come from a wide range of expertise, including Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Biostatisticians, Education, Art and more.
